Everyone Stood Up When Trump Entered Utah Capitol – But What Crowd Did Next Is the Real Story

Trump won the state of Utah in the 2016 election. He smoked Hillary Clinton by 18 points.  He was able to earn those 6 electoral votes despite the fact that Evan McMullin was on the ballot as a third-party challenger.  It was widely reported that the Mormon community, which McMullin is a part of, would side with Mitt Romney’s condemnation of Trump. Clearly, that wasn’t correct.

Apparently, Utah is Trump country.

Don’t take my word for it. Look what happened when the president showed up to Utah on Monday.

From Breitbart:

A crowd inside the Utah State Capitol in Salt Lake City chanted “Four more years!” as President Donald Trump signed two executive orders on Monday — though it is only the 318th day of his presidency, well short of one year.

Sounds like the people of Utah are pretty happy with President Trump.

Here’s more on the executive orders that were signed.

From Fox News:

Capping months of speculation, President Trump on Monday signed a pair of executive orders to significantly shrink two of Utah’s national monuments – Bears Ears and the Grand Staircase-Escalante – that were created by his Democratic predecessors.

The controversial move was pitched by Trump as a win for states’ rights and follows an April review conducted by Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke on the boundaries of large national monuments. The review initially looked at more than two dozen sites designated by presidential decree since the 1990s.

Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah praised the announcement and said Trump was giving the people of Utah “a voice in the process.”

Zinke maintained Monday that the move should be seen as correcting an overreach by the federal government.

“We’re not taking one square inch of federal land and transferring it or selling it. It is still federal land, with all the protections of federal land,” Zinke said, adding that the biggest change is that the government is “allowing greater use on the areas that were previously in the monument.”

That works.

It looks like the people of Utah were supportive of this move and that’s pretty much all that matters. The liberal media won’t like it but they don’t really like anything Trump does so their opinion doesn’t matter much.

82% of Trump voters say they would do it again.

From The Hill:

A large majority of President Trump’s voters say they would do it all over again, according to a new survey.

Politico-Morning Consult poll finds 82 percent of respondents who voted for Trump in the 2016 presidential race say they would support him again.

Just 7 percent of Trump voters say they would pick another candidate if they had to recast their 2016 ballot.

Hard to argue with that.

Clearly, the mainstream media isn’t being honest about how Trump supporters are feeling about Trump. He is still drawing large and enthusiastic crowds wherever he goes. Maybe the media should spend more energy figuring out why that is instead of tearing down the president every chance they get.
