Ivanka Trump’s Outfit During India Trip Sparks Mass Outrage (Photos)

Another day, another excuse for liberals to attack everything Trump!

This situation involves First Daughter Ivanka, who is being accused of ‘cultural appropriation.’

Classic, leftism.

Check this out…

From Daily Wire:

First Daughter Ivanka Trump is being slammed over what fashion blogs are calling “cultural appropriation,” for wearing dresses with “Indian-inspired” prints during her visit to the southeast Asian country last week, instead of Indian designers.

Ivanka donned clothing from Tory Burch and a $3500 Erdem gown while meeting with leaders in India about a series of education initiatives at an entrepreneurship summit Hyderabad.

The First Daughter appeared to be taking her cues from Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton who wore mostly British designers like Jenny Packham and Anna Sui — and even Tory Burch — on her royal trip to India, but who also incorporated Indian themes and Asian designs into her wardrobe as a way of honoring her host country.

More on Ivanka…

From Daily Mail:

The Daily O lambasted the Burch number and described it to be ‘the ‘me-too’ of a Kashmiri pheran for the prime minister’s banquet at the Taj Falaknuma Palace.’

While speaking at an event in Hyderabad, a city longtime known for pearl trading, the President’s advisor displayed a black and pearl embroidered Tory Burch ‘Sylvia’ jacket.

‘It referenced India with the embroidery, but in reality looked like a cheap brand ripping off designer Rahul Mishra,’ the Daily O said of the jacket.

The Indian news outlet further pointed out the fashion designer’s choice of dress during a recent visit to Japan.

‘While she had the choice of picking the most amazing designers, she selected a cherry blossom print, kimono-inspired dress made by the Colombian designer Johanna Ortiz.’

Cont’d:

The report went even further, and slammed Ms Trump – who they said ‘represents (the) American dream (of being) a botoxed Barbie.’

Recently, Ivanka Trump, along with help from GOP Senators Marco Rubio and Mike Lee, worked to expand the child tax credit in the newly passed Senate Republican tax bill. The tax bill was cleared in the Senate with 51 Republican votes. The bill doubles the current non-refundable tax credit from $1,000 annually per child to $2,000.

More information on Ivanka’s role in helping pass the tax credit:

[T]he $2,000 credit is a win for [Senators Rubio and Lee] and for Ivanka Trump, who has spent several months lobbying Republicans, business groups, and advocacy organizations to support the proposal.

Experts say the child tax credit is a crucial measure to offset the tax plan’s elimination of personal exemptions, which currently provide significant relief for middle-income families, as well as measures that will raise taxes on millions of middle-class Americans.
